The Institute for Research and Applications of Development Methods (IRAM) has been active in the field of international cooperation since 1957. The Institute seeks to combine a high level of independent expertise with an ethical commitment.
IRAM has identified four priority issues for its actions: (i) Reducing vulnerability to hazards; (ii) Strengthening the capacity of local and national organizations to influence public policies; (iii) Re-appropriation of the development of territories by their actors; (iv) Training and socio-professional integration of rural youth.
