This issue of Grain de sel seeks to dispel
a number of preconceptions and
reaffirm a number of truths. To mention
just a few : Africa is not a reserve
of land without rights ; some forms of
appropriation and exploitation are in
no way agricultural investments ; delivering
private land titles to all peasant
farmers is not necessarily a solution to
secure their access to land ; conducting
land reforms does not only mean
working on technical and legal tools,
it requires, first and foremost, holding
discussions with all segments of
society, etc.
