IUCN, as part of its programme “Partnership for Environmental Governance in West Africa (PAGE)” in collaboration with the ECOWAS Water Resources Coordination Center (WRCC) has developed a briefing note of the West Africa Water Resources Policy (WAWRP). This note aims to give the public the essential landmarks to better understand the regional policy. Written in an accessible and structured language to facilitate understanding, the note is intended as a practical tool available to the public to enable them to be involved in issues related to water resources management. The briefing note is followed by an animated presentation. It aims at raising awareness among decision makers and large public on water issues in the region and the need of involvement of all stakeholders for the implementation of the WAWRP.
