G20 Action Plan addresses the symptoms, not the causes of the problem

The fact that the G20 Ministers of Agriculture reached an agreement in Paris today is excellent news, and it shows that governments feel that ‘business as usual’ is not an option anymore. However, the action plan adopted today addresses the symptoms of price volatility on agricultural markets. It fails to address the causes. Several points of the plan are insufficient.
