Young people are on the front lines of climate change. Their generational knowledge and expertise must play a central role in the transition to more sustainable and resilient food systems. This calls for the need to accelerate and galvanise support for a just transition of food systems on a global scale. This just transition will ensure that efforts to transform food systems are equitable and inclusive. This means that young people and other marginalized stakeholders of the food system across the Global North and South have a meaningful say in policy and investment decisions that impact them, and the transition leads to equitable social, environmental and economic outcomes.
