The report of the CGIAR titled « Capacity Needs Assessment of Agricultural Scientists in PABRA Bean Research Networks » assesses the scientific capabilities in Sub-Saharan Africa essential for driving innovations to address challenges like low agricultural productivity, climate change, food security, malnutrition, and gender equality in agri-food systems. It emphasizes developing and enhancing existing capacities for systemic transformations in the region. The assessment was conducted among 30 agricultural scientists from 16 countries in the Pan-Africa Bean Research Alliance (PABRA), revealing a need for both technical and non-technical training.
