Khalid Belarbi is an agro-economist with 30 years of experience in agricultural education - technical and higher education. He is currently Director of the Institute of Hot Regions (IRC) of Montpellier SupAgro.
Presentation of the member
The FAR network is an international association created in 2006 by agricultural training professionals from different countries on the African continent. Its main mission is to support Southern countries in the renovation of their agricultural and rural training systems.
The network is involved at different levels in
- The mobilization of expertise adapted to the renovation of agricultural and rural training systems
- Building the capacities of the ministries of agriculture, education and vocational training
- Sharing experiences and knowledge
The missions of the FAR network are :
- To support member countries in the renovation of agricultural and rural training
The FAR Network's greatest strength lies in the international expertise it is able to mobilize among its members and partners to support countries in setting up and/or renovating their agricultural and rural training systems. Member countries wishing to overhaul their training systems can thus seek the support and proven expertise of network resource persons.
- Strengthening Southern expertise
The FAR Network's mission is also to strengthen the skills of FAR actors in order to develop a pool of national and international expertise in a South-South context.
- Produce useful knowledge for professionals
The production of new knowledge on agricultural research and the reinforcement of the expertise of the actors constitute the areas of competence of the FAR Network. The international experts, research actors and scientific partners who are members of the network are regularly called upon to invest in different fields of knowledge (social and professional integration of young people, evolution of FAR systems, job references, new training methodologies, training economics, etc.).
- Informing and exchanging
The FAR Network offers information and exchange tools to help bring together all agricultural and rural training stakeholders (seminar, digital resource space, newsletter, collaborative tools, etc.).
