On the eve of the 6th ministerial Conference of the WTO in Hong Kong, Coordination SUD (it is made up of more than 120 French international relief and development NGOs) publishes an report on the consequences of the agricultural liberalization. The report “Agriculture : for a regulation of world trade. Placing development at the centre of WTO negotiations on the Agreement on Agriculture”: draws up an assessment of the ten years impact of liberalization of the agricultural trade carried out by OMC through the study of six products (rice, sugar, banana, meat of chicken, milk and cotton) and made state of various recommendations be applied to the sector (protection of the agricultural markets and food sovereignty).
